Q&A by the Coffee Machine: Sine Søe Poulsen

Working in the finance department, Sine is balancing a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities. We caught up with Sine to share her insights on the life of an Accounting Apprentice at Kimbrer Computer.

What do you do as an Accounting Apprentice at Kimbrer Computer?

I have a broad spectrum of administrative tasks, especially with an economic angle. Most of my work involves all kinds of accounting, archiving along with "managing" the bank and Paypal accounts. Furthermore, I have tasks where the main focus lies on communication with Kimbrer Computer's many debtors relating to queries by mail, payment reminders, planning contras and so on.

Tell us, what is it like to work in accounting at Kimbrer Computer and what is your favourite part about working here?

Some might have the illusion that the accounting team consists of boring, dry people. But it is quite the opposite here at Kimbrer Computer. Our accounting space is filled with emotions, weird stories and private life debates. I think this is my favourite part; we do serious work, but also have the occasional breaks with chats and jokes.

What has been your biggest challenge during your apprenticeship?

I welcome challenges, since they make me grow. But I still remember when I was introduced to the task of reaching out to debtors with late payments. Of course, most people are kind and understanding, but I had some mildly irritated debtors who called me directly, and I was frankly not sure how to answer their questions at that point.

What has been your best memory so far from your time at Kimbrer Computer?

Apart from our amazing team building activities beside work hours, I think it was when I finally realized I did not rely on my notes to do my tasks. It had all stuck in my brain and become habit. That felt like a win!

What inspires you?

I am constantly inspired by people with more knowledge than me. It keeps me motivated to continuously improve myself. Would it be too cliché to say my two accounting colleagues inspire me every day? Because they do.

Lastly, what is the one thing you cannot resist?

I have a secret guilty pleasure of watching organizing and decluttering videos on YouTube. I really cannot resist organizing. But my need for order fits perfectly with my job, so I could not be happier.
